Golf Instruction Program
The objective of the instruction program is to provide quality instruction which allows each student the opportunity to learn the correct fundamentals and incorporate them into their individual styles. Also stressed will be The Rules of Golf and proper golf course etiquette, which will enable each student to feel comfortable when playing the golf course. There are many facets of this program targeted at all ability levels which we hope will encourage participation.
River Park Golf Center is proud to feature the Chris Doos Golf Performance Institute. Our instruction program now offers the most advanced learning tools available. With the state-of-the-art Launch Monitor and V1 Digital Coaching System, we are able to analyze your golf equipment and provide you with the most comprehensive recommendations. To further assist customers in finding the proper instruction program to fit their needs, this guide has been divided into sections applicable to private lessons, ladies’ clinics and junior program/clinics. We also welcome the opportunity to build a corporate clinic for your business needs. This is a great opportunity to entertain client’s right here at Riverpark Golf Center.

Instructor Bios
Chris Doos
Owner / Director of Instruction
Over the past 20 years, Chris Doos has become one of California’s premier golf instructors and custom club fitters. Chris has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer to his students. He has been a member of the PGA of Europe since 1990 and was recognized in both 2004 and 2005 by Golf Range Magazine as one of the “Top 50 Instructors in America.” Chris’ professional career has been modeled under the tutelage of several top PGA professionals including famed instructors: Mike Adams, Mike McGetrick (McGetrick Golf Academy), and John Garner (Great Britain Ryder Cup Team). As Chris has continued to hone his skills, he has assisted some of the most accomplished golfers in the world including Kevin Chappell, medalist at the 2008 NCAA Championship and now Nationwide Tour Winner.
Chris has established one of California’s premier golf learning centers located at River Park Golf Center in Fresno, CA. Concurrently, he developed a highly successful business venture aimed at providing golf instruction to individuals and corporate entities alike by way of group clinics and client entertainment events.
In addition to the traditional concepts of instruction, Chris employs the V1 Digital Coaching System and comprehensive fitness programs. Chris’ goal is to coach and support players to become their own best coach.

Gary Green
Staff Instructor
Gary started his career in 1997 at Kings River Country Club working as a pro shop assistant under well respected professionals Chuck Blanks and Steve Pellegrine. In his 7 years at Kings River Country Club, he spent his time developing valuable skills and a great passion for the game. Gary joined us at Riverpark Golf Center eager to learn and wanting to further his career in teaching. During the past 5 years training with Chris Doos, Gary has developed a complete and comprehensive teaching method. His background as a competitive golfer gives him the ability to offer insight into all different aspects of the game; including the mental, physical, and technical skills necessary to take his students to the next level. Gary works with all skill levels, from the true beginners to elite level players. He also has assisted in the Nike Camps and Junior Programs for the past five years.
Private Individual Lessons
Our Golf Professionals pride themselves on helping players of all ability levels and aptitudes. From a simple tune up, to helping an advanced player prepare for a tournament, or even a beginners first swing. We can help every player learn and reinforce the proper mechanics and theory of the golf swing. We will teach you how to play the game of golf, a distinction that is often overlooked by many players preoccupied with ball striking. Lessons may be booked by telephone seven days a week at 559.448.9467 during our regular business hours. Lessons may also be taken in our video studio, on the golf course, in our short game area, and of course on the range.

Golf Clinics
Golf clinics present an opportunity to receive golf instruction in a relaxed group setting on topics ranging from basic fundamentals to course management. All ability levels are encouraged to participate. The clinics will be taught by the Director of Instruction and a member of the Golf Professional Staff. To sign up please contact the Golf Shop.
Ladies’ Beginner Group
These clinics are intended to give the female golfer an opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of the golf swing and short game techniques in a fun and enjoyable environment. Each session we will offer instruction on a different topic, and participants are encouraged to ask questions. This is also a great time to learn proper golf etiquette and touch up on The Rules of Golf. Women Lesson Package (4) 45 minutes $100
• Four sessions designed for the beginner to intermediate level women golfers
• Women will receive sound fundamental instruction in putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing
• 5:1 student teacher ratio; 3 student minimum / 10 student maximum
Short Game Schools
Ask any Golf Professional the fastest way to lower your score and they will tell you that improving your short game is the answer. We’ve specially designed this school to help you create the foundation you need to lower your scores by improving your game from 100 yards and in. Instruction begins after a thorough evaluation of your short game. Putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, flop and specialty shots will be addressed. We will show you ways to improve each specific area by evaluating your progress and giving you a specific practice plan. Short Game One Day 6 hours $225

Junior Golf Camps
This four-day camp is a teaching program for beginner to advanced players. Chris Doos and his staff are dedicated to helping campers learn and enjoy golf in a fun and safe environment. The camp provides basic instruction covering every skill area; including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, full swing, and a general understanding of the rules and etiquette. The camps run Monday through Thursday and include twelve hours of instruction for three hours each day. The first three days will include instruction while the Thursday session will conclude with playing on the course at a designated morning tee time under the supervision of an instructor. CDGPI Junior Academy Membership $75 Annually
To be eligible for any programs a participant must be a member of CDGPI. This is a unique opportunity for young golfers to train where the Pro’s train, and train the way the Pro’s train. Many of our students have gone on to graduate and compete at the professional level.

CDGPI Practice Program $250 Annually
The Chris Doos Golf Performance Institute Practice Program is geared towards competitive golfers looking to take their game to the next level. This program offers golfers a chance to build good practice habits under the supervision of our Director of Instruction. This is also not intended to take place of lessons; it is meant to compliment them by building a solid base.

CDGPI Player Development Program
The Level II Player Development Program is a comprehensive golf program designed for competitive young golfers who would like to compete at the college level and beyond. This program is available for boys and girls between the ages of 8 – 18. We will consider your current playing ability, goals, time commitment and design a personal training program to help you reach your potential. We will monitor your performance throughout the season, and will cover all areas of the game including full swing, short game, on-course strategy and how to practice.
CDGPI Player Development Program $900 Annually
Level I
• 15 half hour individual sessions with Director of Instruction, Chris Doos
• CDGPI Junior Academy Membership
• CDGPI Practice Program
• One individual conferences with parents and child
• Five monthly meetings to cover various goals and skills necessary for competing successfully
• Complete physical strength and flexibility assessment with our certified Titleist Performance Institute Instructor
• Complete equipment evaluation using our Vector Launch Monitor
CDGPI Player Development Program $1,900 ($190 per month) 10 months
Level II
